Day 01

Arrival in Haridwar/Rishikesh

Activities: Arrive in Haridwar/Rishikesh by road or train. Visit key attractions like Har Ki Pauri in Haridwar or Lakshman Jhula in Rishikesh. Attend the evening Ganga Aarti. Overnight stay: Haridwar/Rishikesh.

 

Day 02

Haridwar/Rishikesh to Govindghat (292 km, 10-12 hours)

Route: Drive from Haridwar/Rishikesh to Govindghat via Joshimath. Attractions on the way: Devprayag (confluence of Alaknanda and Bhagirathi rivers). Scenic views of the Garhwal mountains. Overnight stay: Govindghat.

 

Day 03

Govindghat to Ghangaria (14 km trek)

Activity: Start early for a trek from Govindghat to Ghangaria. You can either trek or hire a mule/porter. The trek offers stunning views of waterfalls, lush greenery, and mountains. Reach Ghangaria by late afternoon. Overnight stay: Ghangaria.

 

Day 04

Ghangaria to Valley of Flowers (3-4 km trek one way)

Activity: Start early to trek to the Valley of Flowers. Explore the valley, which is covered with a variety of rare and exotic flowers. Enjoy the breathtaking beauty of the meadows and streams. Spend a few hours in the valley, soaking in the scenery and taking photographs. Return to Ghangaria in the evening. Overnight stay: Ghangaria.

 

Day 05

Ghangaria to Hemkund Sahib (6 km trek one way)

Activity: Early morning trek to Hemkund Sahib, a revered Sikh pilgrimage site. The trek is steep but rewarding, with scenic views and the tranquil Hemkund Lake at the top. Spend some time at Hemkund Sahib Gurudwara and explore the surroundings. Trek back to Ghangaria by evening. Overnight stay: Ghangaria.

 

Day 06

Ghangaria to Govindghat and Return to Haridwar/Rishikesh

Activity: Trek back from Ghangaria to Govindghat. From Govindghat, drive back to Haridwar/Rishikesh.
