Day 01

Arrival in Srinagar

Arrival: Check into a houseboat on Dal Lake or a hotel in Srinagar. Shikara Ride: Relax with a Shikara ride on Dal Lake, exploring the floating gardens and the market. Dinner: Enjoy traditional Kashmiri cuisine on the houseboat or at a local restaurant.

 

Day 02

Srinagar Sightseeing

Morning: Mughal Gardens: Visit the famous Mughal Gardens – Shalimar Bagh, Nishat Bagh, and Chashme Shahi. These gardens offer beautiful views and are perfect for a leisurely stroll. Shankaracharya Temple: Drive up to Shankaracharya Hill and visit the ancient temple, which offers panoramic views of Srinagar. Afternoon: Hazratbal Shrine: Visit the Hazratbal Shrine, an important religious site in Srinagar, located on the northern shores of Dal Lake. Evening: Explore Local Markets: Visit Lal Chowk and other local markets for shopping. Day 03

Day Trip to Gulmarg

Morning: Drive to Gulmarg: Depart for Gulmarg, a popular hill station known for its meadows and ski slopes (about 2 hours from Srinagar). Gondola Ride: Take the Gondola ride up to Apharwat Peak for stunning views of the Himalayas. If you’re visiting in winter, enjoy skiing or snowboarding. Afternoon: Lunch in Gulmarg: Enjoy lunch at a local restaurant or a café. Golf Course: In summer, explore the Gulmarg Golf Course, one of the highest in the world. Evening: Return to Srinagar: Drive back to Srinagar in the evening. Day 04

Day Trip to Pahalgam

Morning: Drive to Pahalgam: Start early for Pahalgam (around 2.5 hours from Srinagar), known as the "Valley of Shepherds." Betaab Valley: Visit Betaab Valley, a picturesque spot surrounded by lush green meadows and snow-capped mountains. Afternoon: Lunch in Pahalgam: Have lunch at a riverside café or restaurant. Aru Valley and Baisaran: Explore Aru Valley or take a short pony ride to Baisaran, also known as "Mini Switzerland." Evening: Explore Pahalgam Town: Stroll around the town and shop for local crafts. Return to Srinagar: Drive back to Srinagar in the evening. Dinner: Enjoy a quiet dinner after your day of exploration.

 

Day 05

Sonamarg Excursion

Morning: Drive to Sonamarg: Head to Sonamarg, known as the "Meadow of Gold" (around 2 hours from Srinagar). Thajiwas Glacier: Visit Thajiwas Glacier, accessible by pony ride or a trek, to see snow even in summer. Afternoon: Lunch in Sonamarg: Have lunch at a local dhaba or restaurant. Explore Local Scenery: Take a leisurely walk along the Sind River or explore the surrounding meadows. Evening: Return to Srinagar: Drive back to Srinagar for the night. Dinner: Enjoy a traditional dinner back at your accommodation.

 

Day 06

Yusmarg or Doodhpathri

Morning: Day Trip to Yusmarg or Doodhpathri: Choose between Yusmarg (known for its meadows and pine forests) or Doodhpathri (a lesser-known but equally beautiful destination). Both are within a 2-hour drive from Srinagar. Afternoon: Picnic Lunch: Enjoy a picnic lunch amidst nature. Explore and Relax: Spend the afternoon exploring the meadows, going for short hikes, or just relaxing. Evening: Return to Srinagar: Head back to Srinagar in the evening. Dinner: Have a relaxed dinner at your accommodation.

 

Day 07

Departure

Morning: Local Sightseeing or Shopping: If time permits, visit any remaining attractions in Srinagar or do some last-minute shopping. Check-out and Departure: Depending on your flight or train schedule, check out and head to Srinagar Airport or the railway station for your journey home.
